It all started when…

My best friend Todd had the idea that we should take this opportunity in time to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. After discussing it over the course of a few weeks we settles on the machame route with suggestions from our guide Kelvin. We were introduced to Kelbin by our friend Ishani who we wet while in Hong Kong a couple years back. Our goal was to support local while we were there and use local guides and a local Tanzanian company to climb the mountain.

While discussing some ways we could help the locals in a tangible way we came down to the plan of bringing school supplies, filters, and clothing for the children. Kelvin was telling us how these things are hard for many Tanzanians to acquire but he also proposed the idea that building a water well is one of the single most impactful thing we can do.

So here we are about a week away from the trip deciding we are going to raise the funds for a well to be built. According to our research the average water project in Tanzania costs $8,000, impacting 600-700 lives per well. The geology of Tanzania requires heavier equipment than the traditional Water4 hand drilling method, making the average well cost higher in Tanzania.

Once we are on the ground we will be visiting the village and delivering all the supplies we can bring with us. If we do not reach he goal by the end of the week we will continue fund raising and updating the campaign as we go.

All of the funds will go directly to supporting a local village and drilling a well in the area our guides suggest need it the most.

Thank you for your support and your time.
