MachweoAs our time neared its end in the Serengeti I was beginning to grow worried I might not get the photo I had always dreamed of. Suddenly I spotted this beautiful African Acacia tree off in the distance. As chance would have it as we neared a bend in the road the sun dipped below the clouds. Quickly coming to a stop I grabbed my 200-600mm lens and gently rested my camera on the top of our land cruiser. Just as I got into place the sky lit up in shades of pink, purple and most significantly deep orange. Lined up perfectly off to the left of the tree I present to you Machweo.

In the summer of 2019 I took an almost 3 week long road trip across the United States to photograph quite a few of our nations most beautiful national parks. Myrtle Falls did not disappoint… The image mesmerizes with Mount Raineer in the background inviting you to summit her snow capped peaks.
